Face lift

There has been some very sad stories in the news this past week around the cruelty towards people with intellectual disabilities.  Neglect – verbal abuse – same OLD story – just different names and different faces.

I started thinking about those faces – that when in public are usually downward to avoid the stares.  But, when at Special Olympics – take on a whole different look.

These faces can lift our spirits and put us all in a frame of mind that allows for the freedom to be ourselves – and be just fine with that.
